Team Ropers to compete this weekend at fairgrounds

Clarence Brantley Indoor Arena at the Osage County Fairgrounds will be the site this weekend for a two-day qualifier event in the World Series of Team Roping.

Top ropers from all around the country will be trying to become one of the 150 teams who receive $36,000 each as WSTR qualifiers.

Team roping competitions are set to begin at 9 a.m., with four qualifiers Saturday and one on Sunday. The Saturday ropings will conclude with an all-girl event, scheduled to start sometime after 4 p.m. On Sunday several payback and pick or draw events will be held.

Entry fees range from $100 to $150 per roper.
