A Huskie Summer Pride Program for football continues at Ormand Beach Memorial Stadium. Beginning last week, Pawhuska High School players have been going through Speed, Power, Agility (SPA) conditioning drills Monday through Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Football skills training sessions also are being held daily under the direction of new PHS head coach Bob Craig. Top photo, Huskie assistant coaches Mark Frye and Brian Edwards put the high schoolers through drills. The program is designed to promote individual improvement in various athletic skills and to address different offensive, defensive and special-teams concepts, Craig said. This week, the free program was expanded to include morning sessions for seventh- and eighth-graders.
