Two of the Pawhuska Youth Football squads wrapped up their elementary seasons on high notes Saturday by capturing league championships at home on the turf of Ormand Beach Memorial Stadium.

The Junior Huskies’ third and fourth grade team throttled Hominy by a 28-0 score in the 1 p.m. showdown. Prior to that contest, Pawnee defeated Woodland for the first-and-second grade title.

In the 3 p.m. game, Pawhuska’s fifth and sixth graders won decisively — 38-6 — over Barnsdall, as the Panthers pushed across a late score to avert a shutout.

Team photographs and roster lists are planned for next week’s PJC.
