Crashing cowboy

T.J. Mills falls under his horse after getting hung in the stirrup during the Osage County Free Fair ranch rodeo held Sept. 7 at Ben Son Johnson Arena. Despite sustaining cracked vertabrae and bruises to his hip and kidney, Mills was able to leave the hospital a few hours later. Additional injury probably was averted due to rapid responses by Chris Potter and several other cowboys, witnesses said. JACK BUZBEE/JOURNAL-CAPITAL
