Annual PHS baseball benefit held Saturday

The annual Baseball Steak Dinner benefit for the Pawhuska Huskies high school baseball team was held Saturday night, Feb. 8, at the Elks Lodge.

In addition to the dinner, fundraising auctions (silent and non-silent) and drawings were conducted.

This year’s PHS squad is planning a spring break trip to Orange Beach/Gulf Shores, Ala. The Huskies will play games against area teams as part of the trip, which is planned for the week of March 17-23.

A 2013 PHS graduate and former Huskie player, Zak Wilson, was the $1,250 grand-prize winner in a cash drawing benefit. The second prize of $500 went to Mike Tolson and third prize ($250) was won by Marilynn Maher. Most of the prize money was donated back to the baseball program.

Head coach of the Pawhuska baseball squad is Brian Edwards. Patrick McCarty is the assistant coach for the Huskies.
