The Huskies earned a chance to play their way to the Class 2A State Tournament for a second straight year Monday by advancing through a 2A qualifier held at the Clary Hills Golf Club in Sapulpa. Thompson continued his season-long assault on area links by shooting a team-leading round of 78. Collins carded an 86, followed by Bighorse with an 87 and Hughes (107). Peyton Buzbee, grandson of Jack and Cathy Buzbee,and Bill and Edwina Lynn, all of Pawhuska, is pictured with a winning pin “the Guillotine” at the OKWA Northeast Regionals on Feb. 14 at the Tahlequah -Sequoyah High School. Peyton was runner-up at OKWA and was also runner-up at Junior High State tournament the weekend before.
