Pawhuska High School graduates Tyler Reece, Marshall Tolson and Hayden Javellas have all been invited to participate in Friday’s 15th-annual Pawnee Bill All-Star Football Classic in Pawnee.

Last week’s workouts were directed by PHS Principal Joe Sindelar (at left) and coach Mark Frye. Since Huskie head coach/athletic director Bob Craig resigned in April due to family-related matters, Sindelar has been coordinating scheduling and coaching assignments with the local board of education. Advertisements have been run seeking a replacement for Craig, but Sindelar is stepping in to lead the team in the interim. Sindelar, who is beginning his third year as principal here, has ample coaching experience. He led Woodland to a Class A state title in 2010 and a runner-up finish in 2011. WAGONER — For the second straight year, Pawhuska allowed the Wagoner Lady Bulldogs just one goal in their play-in match to Oklahoma’s Class 4A high school soccer tournament.

The Huskie golfers participated in an Oklahoma 2A High School Regional held Monday at Pryor Creek Golf Course. Last week, the PHS squad advanced through a 2A qualifier at Clary Hills Golf Club in Sapulpa. Thompson continued his season-long assault on area links by shooting a team-leading round of 78. Collins carded an 86, followed by Bighorse with an 87 and Hughes (107). The Huskies are attempting to play their way into the Class 2A State Tournament for a second straight year.
