Leona (Wadsworth) Goad

Leona (Wadsworth) Goad 80, of Sperry born April 5, 1933, entered into eternal rest on April 19, 2013 surrounded by her loving husband and family.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Leona was preceded in death by her father and mother, Ernie and Mendie Wadsworth; brothers Levon and Leon Wadsworth; sister Bessie Simmons of Pawhuska; and daughter Beverly Flippin of Broken Arrow.

Leona is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Edsel Goad; her daughter Gayla and husband Don McFarlane of Owasso; her son Guy and wife Jan Goad of Bartlesville; and Gary and wife Terri Goad of Tulsa; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; sisters Margie Anderson of Laverne and Dessie Patrick of Copan; brother Alvin Wadsworth of Sanger, Cal.; and several nieces and nephews and lots of friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 22 at McCartney’s Johnson Funeral Home, Pawhuska. Rev. Mark Weeter officiated. Interment was in the Pawhuska City Cemetery.

She will never be forgotten and dearly missed by all who knew her.
