Denise Dianne (Hamilton) Boren

Denise Dianne (Hamilton) Boren passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013 in the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Okla.

Denise was born May 18, 1941 in Pawhuska, Okla., the daughter of Frederick and Virginia (Minix) Hamilton.

A wife, mother and homemaker all of her life, she enjoyed taking care of her kids. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing cross stitch and various other crafts. She was an avid football fan who enjoyed watching the OU Sooners and Hominy Bucks play.

She is survived by her children, Beverly Boren, John Boren, Jr., and Frederick Boren; and daughter-in-law Crystal Boren; and other family and friends.

Denise was preceded in death by her husband, John Franklin Boren; parents Virginia Hamilton Fletcher, Charles “Fletch” Fletcher, and Frederick Hamilton; and her grandparents.

She will lie in state at the Indian Camp Chapel in Pawhuska. Traditional Indian services was held at 8 a.m.,Wednesday, August 28, at the Chapel. Everett Waller will officiate. Funeral services followed at 10 a.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Pawhuska. Pastor Mike Franklin officiated. Interment is in the A.J. Powell Cemetery in Hominy, Okla.

McCartney’s Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
