Cecil Melvin Gullett III, 39, died July 6, 2014, at the Pawhuska Hospital.
Cecil was born Oct. 3, 1974, in Ponca City, to Johnnie Mae (Cook) and Cecil M. Gullett Jr. On Feb. 15, 1997, he married the former Jamie Anderson in Moore. He was a member of the Rockin’ V Roundup Club and the Wynona Roundup Club, where he also served as its vice president. He was also a volunteer worker with children in 4-H.
In his spare time, Cecil enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved rodeos and being with his children. He was a member of the Pawhuska Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife, Jamie Gullett; his children, Brittni Renee Gullett, Courttni Dawn Gullett and Dallas Chandler Gullett; his mother, Johnnie Mae Morland and husband, Clyde; grandmother, Mary Alice Gullett; sisters, Jackie Yocham and husband, Shane, Tricia Thomas and husband, Roy; nephews, Austin Thomas and wife, Kate, Dillon Thomas, Scotty Schimmels, William Schimmels, Tyler Schimmels and Thomas Hurley; a great-niece, Reyley Thomas; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other family and friends.
Cecil was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Gullet Jr.; grandfather, Cecil Gullett Sr.; and a great nephew, Brodie Wayne Thomas.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 11, at the Agricultural Building of the Osage County Fairgrounds with the Rev. Chuck Glendenning officiating. Interment will be in the Pawhuska City Cemetery.
