Barbara (Kirk) Moore

Barbara (Kirk) Moore passed away Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013 at 4:55 p.m.

Funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2013 at St. James Catholic Church with Father Archie Fernandez officiating. Interment was in the Pawhuska Cemetery with Father Chris Daigle officiating.

Moore was born July 5, 1932 in Pawhuska, to Cecil and Loraine (Gossett) Kirk. She attended Pawhuska Schools graduating from Pawhuska High School in 1950. Barbara worked for the First National Bank is Pawhuska before marrying William F. Moore on February 4, 1951 and moved to Bartlesville in 1961. Bill’s work with Phillips Petroleum Co. took them to Aurora, Colo. in 1982 and returned to Bartlesville in 1988.

Barbara was a member of St. James Catholic Church. She enjoyed her many travels with husband Bill to Las Vegas, taking cruises to Alaska and to the Caribbean for their 50th wedding anniversary.

Barbara is survived by her husband William F. “Bill” Moore of the home; two daughters, Patricia Moore Sousa and husband Frank of Tucson, Ariz., Cynthia Moore Evans and husband Doug of Wichita Falls, Texas;. one son, John William Moore and wife Debbie of Huntsville, Ark.; six grandchildren, Crystal Ennis, Michael Sousa, Becky Hayes, Alex Evans, Kasey Evans and Amy Evans; three great grandchildren, Zac Ennis, Kasey Ennis and William Shockley.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Mary Jo Mills, Betty Lou Culver and Angela Belle Evans. Online condolences for the family can be left at www.walkerbrownfuneralhome.com.
