VETERAN REPRESENTATIVE AT WYNONA TOWN HALL

Just a reminder that Lee Webb is still coming to the Town Hall on Fridays from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. to help veterans with their benefits. Veterans are reminded that they can use their tax exempt card from the state to exempt taxes on their phone bills. Contact your provider for details.

The Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs representative will not be coming to Osage County anymore, but Webb will be still doing the Veterans Assistance for this area. Every Friday Lee will be at the Pawhuska Community Center 9-11 a.m., Wynona 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and Hominy from 1-2 p.m. Remember that the VA Healthcare meets all the requirements for Obamacare.

WYNONA SCHOOL NOTES

(Submitted by Dixie Hurd, superintendent)

We would like to thank Becca Lay for donating beautiful handmade hats and gloves for our students who might need them to keep warm this winter!

Next Friday, Nov. 8, at 2:45 p.m. will be our next End of the Month Assembly. Student of the Month, Birthdays and the Math and Reading awards will be presented. Our first home high school basketball game will be at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 8. The Junior High will not be playing in the tournament Nov. 4-8, as previously stated. Their first game will be at home on Nov. 11. Thanksgiving holiday will be Nov. 25 - 29. Calendars are posted on our website and are available in the office.

We recently had door monitor/buzzer systems installed on one door for each building. For safety, the south elementary doors and the west high school doors will be locked and not used for entrances. If parents drop off students, they should be dropped off near the administration building.

TO SET UP FLU CLINIC

Town Clerk Tennie Slone has been trying to find an agency that will come to the Town Hall for a Flu Shot Clinic. If anyone knows of an agency that can do this, please contact Slone at 918-846-2526.

WYNONA CHRISTMAS PARADE

The Wynona Christmas parade will be Dec. 14 beginning at 6:30 p.m. All clubs and organizations should be making their plans to be in our parade.
