Friday will bring a Patriotic Independence Day Parade to Pawhuska with the annual non-motorized/walking parade, according to Mike McCartney, Pawhuska Chamber of Commerce director.

“No one is too old or too young to participate, but an adult must accompany small children,” McCartney said.

Dress patriotic, decorate a stroller, bike, skateboard, wagon, pet, etc. and join the parade at Citizen’s Bank of Oklahoma parking lot at 9:30 a.m. (Ninth and Kihekah), where registration will be taken. Preregistration is available at the Pawhuska Chamber of Commerce.

The parade begins at 9:30 a.m. proceeding east down Ninth Street, across Lynn Avenue to Ben “Son” Johnson Cultural and Gazebo Park. The judges will be located at the First Christian Church on Ninth Street.

Complementary hot dogs, apple pie and water will be offered. For more information, contact the Pawhuska Chamber at 918-287-1208.
