It takes a village of volunteers and the monetary generosity of caring individuals to fund Pawhuska’s annual Hearts & Hands event.
For several months, each Sunday a number of area churches pass a pail to collect loose change to help offset expenses associated with this yearly mission. These noisy offerings are just one of several avenues area residents can help.
This past week Viola Harris, Donation Container Chair, began setting out collection jars throughout the City.
Currently, these jars are available at the Grog Shop, Kum & Go, Handy Grocery, Weigant’s Pharmacy, Pig Stand, Bad Brad’s BBQ, Osage County Historical Museum Annex (at the stop light), Maverick’s, and Sinclair Stop-By.
“The containers will be picked up the morning of April 27th, which is the official Hearts and Hands workday,” said Harris.
