Businesses named in SEC case have since changed ownership

Quench Buds Holding Co., LLC, the Bartlesville business named in a series of investor fraud cases associated with Larry Dearman, was previously owned by Marya Gray — a co-defendant in the lawsuits — from 2011 until April 2013, when it was sold.

Prior to being purchased by Gray, the stores were operated by the original owner under the business name Quench Buds, LLC.

Neither the original owner nor the current owner of Quench Buds are implicated in any of the legal matters involving the Gray-owned Quench Buds Holding Co., LLC.

The other business named in the SEC filing, Bartnet, was known by the company names Bartnet Wireless Internet, Inc., and Bartnet, LLC, during its years of ownership under Gray.

Since being purchased earlier this year by Totah Communications, the Bartnet company name has been changed to Bartnet IP. The existing wireless Internet business, Bartnet IP, is not involved in the SEC action.

The federal lawsuit was filed last week in Tulsa’s U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma.

In it, former financial advisor Larry Joe Dearman and Gray are accused of employing allegedly illegal schemes to bilk more than 30 investors out of approximately $5 million between December 2008 and August 2012.
