A 78-year-old Burbank man was killed Friday in a single-vehicle accident in Osage County, according to reports from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
OHP troopers say they are still investigating the wreck that took the life of Bobbie Christenson.
The accident reportedly happened around 10 a.m. Aug. 16 on County Road 4030, almost half a mile west of Cameron Road in Osage County.
Reports show that a 2004 Chevrolet pickup driven by Christenson was eastbound on County Road 4030 when Christenson lost control of the vehicle, over corrected and exited the roadway to the right. The vehicle then reportedly rolled one and one-quarter times, ejecting Christenson 15 feet from the point of rest of the vehicle.
Christenson was then transported by Shidler EMS to Fairfax Memorial Hospital where he died from head and trunk internal injuries.
According to the OHP, the cause of the collision is listed as “unsafe speed” and the condition of the driver is listed as “pending investigation.”
