OSAGE NATION PUBLIC HEALTH HOSTS BLOOD DRIVE

Osage Nation Public Health program is hosting an Oklahoma Blood Institute blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 28 at the Osage Nation Cultural Center, just East of Alco. Donors will receive a free T-shirt and two free admissions to the Tulsa Zoo.

BAKED POTATO DINNER, AUCTION TO BENEFIT GIBSON FAMILY

Maggie Gibson is battling her second round of bone cancer and future surgeries will be necessary. A baked potato benefit dinner and auction will be held from 6-8 p.m. May 30 for Maggie and Gibby Gibson to help with medical expenses.

For a donation of $10 per person, participants will receive a baked potato with all the toppings, dessert and a drink.

The event will be held at the Pawhuska Elk’s Lodge.

BARNSDALL’S ANNUAL BIG HEART DAY SET FOR MAY 23-25

Barnsdall’s 61st Annual Big Heart Day will be held May 23-24.

A schedule of events follows:

Friday — 7:30 a.m. Golf Outing at Bailey’s Golf Club, Owasso. Tee-off is at 8:30 a.m. with lunch at 1 p.m.; Alumni Basketball Games will begin at 7 p.m. for women and 8 p.m. for men at Gilbert Fieldhouse.

Saturday — 5k Run, Car/Motorcycle Show, Water Balloon Fight, Mud Slide & Mud Games, Parade, Street Dance, & many more activities throughout Saturday totaling 18 events.

Barnsdall’s 7th Annual Big Heart Day Car & Motorcycle Show will also be held Saturday. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Big Heart Day Parade Line Up starts at 9:45 a.m. Best of Show trophies will be awarded in 14 classes. For information call John Hood 918-381-7703 or e-mail: jthood1955@yahoo.com.

Sunday — American Legion Post 227 will hold Memorial Day Services at 2 p.m. at the Ethel Reece West Cemetery.

VBS SLATED FOR JUNE 2-6 AT WEBB CITY CHURCH OF GOD
