Contractors Conference set for March 26

The Osage Nation Housing Department will host a Contractors Conference at the Pawhuska Business Development Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 26.

The ON Housing Department is searching for general contractors and licensed professionals in the following fields: plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians and pest control. Vendors interested in engaging in business with the Housing Department are encouraged to attend. Contractors and licensed professionals will have the opportunity learn the process of contracting work on construction/rehabilitation projects with the Osage Nation Housing Department.

Registration is free and lunch will be provided for all registered participants. To register for the conference, contact the Housing Department at 918-287-5310 before March 25.

First Baptist Church to host Spring Revival next week

A Spring Revival will be held March 23-26 at First Baptist Church, 302 E. 6th. Services will be held at 10:45 a.m. Sunday morning and then at 6:30 p.m. each evening from Sunday through Wednesday. Charlie Keim is the pastor.

PHS golf team to hold chili/potato bake fundraiser

The Pawhuska High School golf team will be hosting its annual chili/potato bake dinner, complete with dessert and drink, from 5-7 p.m. March 31 at the Methodist Family Life Center, 621 Leahy. A $5 donation will be accepted for the dinner and proceeds will benefit the golf team. ESA will be providing the desserts. In addition, PHS golf members are also selling raffle tickets for a 50-inch flat screen television, which was donated by Mark and Cindy Helmer. Raffle tickets cost $5 each or five for $20.

Tickets for the chili/potato bake dinner and raffle tickets are available from any of PHS Golf Team member.

Out of the Ashes Poker Run set for April 5

A fundraiser is planned to help replace the fire truck and equipment that was stolen and burned on Dec. 4 from the Avant Volunteer Fire Department.

Out of the Ashes Poker Run will be held April 5. The event will start and end at the Avant Fire Station.

The first bike will go out at 1 p.m. and the last bike at 2:30 p.m.

Awards will be given for the best hand and worst hand. There will also be a 50/50 drawing and more.

SkyTown will play at 5 p.m.
