The Burbank Volunteer Fire Department Chili Cookoff is set to begin at 4 p.m. at the Fire Station. Prizes include: Grand Prize Remington 870 Express Shotgun, Second Place $100 Lowes Gift Card. Kaw City Volunteer Fire Department will hold its third annual chicken noodle dinner at 6 p.m. Cost is $5 for adults, children 12 and under eat for $3. The event will be held at Kaw City Community Building and will include a silent auction, raffle for a Henry Golden Boy Rifle. Tickets are $5 each. Winner need not be present. Pawhuska High School will hold a Veterans Day Assembly on Monday, November 11th @ 9:45 AM. All veterans are invited to attend. Refreshments will be available.
Children can drop off art/letters at The North Pole Post Office located inside Tallgrass Prairie Flowers and More, 131 East Main in Pawhuska. Each Letter/Art work sent to Santa Clause should accompany a self addressed stamped envelope and $5. Also available at the North Pole Post Office will be reindeer food for only $2 a sack. All proceeds from the mailing and the reindeer food to Pawhuska Youth Sports. This will run all the way up to the week of Christmas. This is an oversize mail box their art work/ letter needs to be smaller than 13x10
