Thursday, August 22 — Second Annual Meet and Greet, 7 p.m. at the Ormand Beach Stadium. Come and meet the 2013 HUSKIES! Football players and cheerleaders from 1st grade - 12th will be announced.
Saturday, August 24 — Classic Movie at the Constantine, Walt Disney “Cinderella” Rated G. Show Time 7:00 pm and admission is $2. There will be prizes for the first 15 girls that come dressed as Cinderella and also the first 15 boys that come dressed as the Prince.
Saturday, August 24 — Shidler’s 10th Annual One Day Car Show — Coussens Park, N. Cosden, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm; park open from 8:30 am for registration. Dash plaques and goody bags to first 150 entries; Door Prizes; 50/50 Pot; Concessions by Shidler Volunteer Fire Department; Vendor Space available - Automotive related only. October 5 — National Indian Taco Championship is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Vendors, Music, Indian Dancing, Cowgirls and Barrel Racing, or just participating in all the fun and eating Indian Tacos. There will be a Indian Dance and Drum Competition. Dance Competition, Prize Money 1st- $300, 2nd- $200 and 3rd - $100 and there will be one Category each. Age 16 & up. Men’s straight, Men’s Fancy, Women’s Cloth, and Women’s Buckskin. The Children’s Exhibition will begin at 11 a.m. The Drum Competition is $1500 winner take all. Preliminary rounds to follow. You can be a Judge. Visitors can pay $5 for the chance to judge the Indian Tacos. People’s Choice award is a $1,000 Prize. After the National Indian Taco Event head out to the Osage County Fairgrounds for BBR Barrel Racing Competition, It is a free gate and $1,000 added money. The race starts at 6 p.m.
