Season to Taste

Would you be interested in jazzing up your plain-Jane grilled hamburger? Consider wowing your family this weekend by inviting glazed bacon to your outdoor feast. It is snap to make and has the power to amp up that menu to burger-licious!

ELEVATE THE LEVEL OF MY BURGER, MAMA

You will need approx. 16 pieces of thick sliced cracked black pepper bacon. (Or you can buy smoked bacon and add pepper to your syrup. Matters not in this recipe)

1/4 to 1/3 cup of good Maple syrup and 1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard. Whisk together.

Place the bacon on a baking sheet and put into a preheated 400 degree oven for about 9 minutes. Then, remove the bacon from the oven. Lay the partially cooked bacon on a baking rack and place the rack on top of a clean jelly roll pan. Blot the bacon with a paper towel to rid excess grease.

Using a pastry brush, slather on the syrup mixture to glaze the bacon. Return the bacon to the oven and allow to bake to desired crispness. Top your grilled burger with the heavenly bacon and add your favorite condiments.
