PHS Scholars to be recognized at 25th Annual Academic Honors Banquet

In less than a month, the top 10 percent of Pawhuska High School scholars will be recognized at the 25th Annual Academic Honors Banquet. The event will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 3 at the Pawhuska Elks Lodge.

This year’s Theme will be “Shining Stars of PHS — Celebrating 25 Years of Success.”

Honorees for 2014 include Seniors: Sage Allen, Darion Anthony. Logan Big Eagle, Carlie Culver, Tyler Culver, Zalin Edwards, Charlsey Frost, Hanna Henley, Tristen Moberly, Kylar Moody, Taylor Priest, Kaytlyn Swan, and Morgan Waddle.

Committee spokesperson Paula Rabb said, ‘The PHS Honors Banquet Committee would like to invite everyone to come out and celebrate the 25TH Annual PHS Honors Banquet along with this year’s honorees. Tickets for the event are $8 which includes a delicious meal of chicken fried steak, baked potato, green beans, salad and dessert.”

Tickets need to be purchased by Feb. 28 and are available at Pawhuska Hometown Foods, the Pawhuska Schools and The Tolson Agency.

Keynote speaker will be 1991 PHS graduate Lyndall Stout who is currently news anchor for Oklahoma Sun UP TV show. Former Pawhuska resident Alden Swartz will give a brief history of the Honors Banquet.
