Drummond Home slates holiday event

HOMINY — Friends Of the Fred Drummond Home, 305 North Price, will hold a Christmas celebration on Sunday, Dec. 8, from 2-4 p.m.

“The Parade of Historic Santas!” is the theme for this year’s event. Martha Ray of Pawnee, will be bringing her entourage of historic Santas and use them to re-create celebrations of Christmas in different countries. The Santas are to be dressed in time-period clothing.

A band, Finegans Wake, be performing Scottish/Celtic folk songs. The home will be decorated for the holidays and treats are to be given out to all visitors and other refreshments will be available. Open House tours also will be given.

An admission fee — $3 for adults (seniors 65 and over, $2.50) and $1 on children over 6 — will be taken at the door. For more information, persons may call 918-885-2374. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Drummond Home.

Normal hours of operation at the historical Drummond Home are: Wednesdays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (tours are given between 10 and 4). and Sundays from 1-5 p.m., with the last tour beginning at 4.
