We will be looking forward to hearing Nell speak and learning more about the operations of the friend’s group. Open house tour of the home and refreshments after the meeting.

Recipe of the month is:

Delicious Dressing for Fruit Salads taken from “A Taste of the Drummond Home” cookbook

4 yolks of eggs, well beaten

1 T sugar

4 T vinegar

2 cups of whipped cream

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon butter

1 teaspoon dry mustard

Combine egg yolks, salt sugar, vinegar, and dry mustard and cook in a double broiler until thick. When cooled, and just before serving, stir in whipped cream. Strawberries, diced celery and pecans make a delicious combination with this dressing. white grapes cut in half, sliced bananas, and English walnuts are also good. have all ingredients ice cold when ready to put this together. This is the secret of good fruit salads.
