Dates set for distribution of free school supplies

Jentry Thorne and Hailey Mouser Surrett are just some of the many volunteers who help distribute free school supplies for Pawhuska youth. Supplies are packaged according to grades and will be available for pick up Thursday, August 7th and Friday, August 8th from 9 am to Noon at the Methodist Church’s Family Life Center, 620 Leahy.

Pick up will be available from 9 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Church’s Family Life Center, 620 Leahy.

For the convenience of parents and students, supplies will be packaged according to grades.

This is the tenth consecutive year the Pawhuska First United Methodist Church has sponsored this community-wide mission project.

“The continued success of this program is made possible through the cooperative spirit and generous donations of area churches, civic groups, banks, businesses and individuals,” said co-event organizer Sherry Williams. “We are still accepting donations of both money and supplies.”

Williams, along with Linda Boone, have been co-chairs since the project’s inception. Donations may be dropped off at the Church office, located at 621 Leahy weekdays from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday through Friday.
