Ultimate Eagle Watch set for January 18

Kaw Lake Association brings the Ultimate Eagle watch by horseback, beginning at 10 a.m. Jan 18 at Sarge Creek Cove in Kaw City.

Cost is $10 per horseback rider.

Proceeds help Kaw Lake Assiciation to fulfill its Mission: “Promoting Tourism and Economic Development of north-Central Oklahoma and South Central Kansas.”

Special Olympics Oklahoma’s 18TH Annual Winter Games slated

Special Olympics athletes from 14 areas in Oklahoma are preparing for the 18TH annual State Winter Games to be held Thursday through Saturday on the campuses of Oklahoma City Community College, The University of Oklahoma and surrounding communities.

More than 2,200 Special Olympics Athletes are expected to compete at Winter Games this year in Aquatics, Basketball, Bowling and Volleyball.

The schedule is as follows:

Thursday, Jan. 9

Aquatics – 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Oklahoma City Community College

Aquatics Center

7777 S. May Ave., Oklahoma City

Friday, Jan. 10

Singles Bowling — 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

AMF Boulevard, Holiday Lanes, Penn 44,AMF Yukon & AMF Windsor.

Volleyball – 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. — OU Huston Huffman Center

Volleyball Skills 10:30 a.m. to noon — OU Huston Huffman Center

Opening Ceremonies — 7 to 10 p.m.
