Attention Cattlemen! Nowata, Osage and Washington counties are jointly offering the Master Cattleman course and are actively taking class enrollment for area residents that would like to participate.
Master Cattleman students will learn how to enhance the profitability of beef operations and the quality of life of beef cattle producers by equipping them with vital information on all aspects of beef production, business planning, risk management and marketing. This course is taught so that it will benefit both long-time producers as well as new producers to the cattle industry.
The Master Cattleman program includes an educational curriculum based on the Oklahoma Beef Cattle Manual and a producer certification process. The completed curriculum is 28 total hours, both core curriculum plus electives. The class is scheduled to begin on Feb. 11, at the Tri County Technology Center, 6101 SE Nowata Road, in Bartlesville from 6-9 p.m. Class will meet on Tuesdays through May 13.
